In many years in this business, I’ve seen a lot of startups rise to the top—and it’s exciting every single time. A big milestone for startup companies is their first major funding round, with all the hoopla that goes with it: press releases, announcements, and media coverage. And even though I’m thrilled to see investors boosting companies with innovative ideas, that’s not how we roll here at IOD.
We started IOD around the vision of a “bootstrap” company, one with a concept so great that it would pay its own way—no outside investment needed. And that’s exactly what we’ve done since day one.
Our clients build groundbreaking solutions that require a uniquely technical, strategic approach to marketing. And I’m proud to say that we have reached enterprise scale because of IOD’s ability to meet that need. Today, a growing list of the world’s most innovative enterprise tech vendors—in cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, data engineering, and AI—are choosing IOD to help boost their brand.
And even though we’re proud of our own bootstrap model for success, we love being a partner behind the scenes as companies we’ve worked with celebrate their success, whether that’s a new round of investment, a major acquisition or partnership, or a prestigious mention as an industry leader.
Bridging the Gap
IOD’s business model is as unique and exciting as our clients’, adapting and customizing to meet their content needs as they grow. Any tech marketing professional knows that content creation is a long-term investment—one that brings ROI to your business and value to your readers. It’s also a major ingredient in building a long-lasting brand.
High-quality tech content written by actual practitioners—expert software developers, DevOps engineers, or cloud security architects—lends credibility to your brand and establishes you as an industry leader. It also supports our customers along their entire journey: growing traffic exponentially, supporting lead generation campaigns, and building the customer relationship well beyond the sale.
Tech Marketing Pain Points
One thing we’ve learned in our many years’ experience in the tech marketing space—including countless conversations with industry professionals (our clients among them)—is that there’s a real clash between marketers and engineers when it comes to content creation: Marketers and writers lack the deep understanding tech practitioners possess, while tech experts are too busy—and, frankly, lack any real incentive and often the blogging skills required—to support their marketing team’s efforts.
That’s why we’ve made it our mission at IOD to bridge the gap between the marketer and the tech expert.
We bring our vast network of tech pros, bloggers, and editors to the table, becoming an extension and integral part of your marketing team. Our core team—account manager, logistics managers, and our dedicated talent recruitment force—handles all the heavy lifting for you through our streamlined tech content creation process. This lets your marketing team focus on distribution and other marketing-related activities, while your in-house experts can focus on what they do best: building great products.
Announcing: The Founding Team
We’re built to work with innovators. That’s why our vision for IOD’s growth is enormous.
And that vision has been built with help from a core team that is today adding two new members as founders. Ofer and Petar have been part of the IOD journey from the beginning, and going forward, they’ll be considered co-founders.
I’m pleased to introduce the new founding team of IOD:
Ofir Nachmani
Co-Founder & CEO
Ofer Prossner
Co-Founder & COO
Petar Marincovic
Co-Founder & CTO
During our recent off-site team meeting in Belgrade, I looked around at the growing team and community IOD has built, and I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved without outside funding.
We’re growing fast this year. Leading tech companies from various domains are joining us. To support them, we’re continuing to add core members to the team, including account managers, freelance talent recruiters, and logistics managers.
Our roster of vetted freelance tech experts, tech marketing writers, and professional editors has grown to match this demand. They collaborate with our clients to build a rich, strategic content library—technical blogs, white papers, e-books, tutorials, product comparisons, video scripts, and more.
We’re also looking for more contributors to add to our talent network of hundreds of freelancers:
- Tech marketing writers
- Tech experts in cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, data engineering, and AI
- Veteran editors
- Influencers
Check out our open positions and join the IOD Talent Network. There’s room for experts from SMEs to big enterprises and everything in between.
